Lots of folks have been through lots of things, but we’ve never been through this level of uncertainty on a global basis - both in our businesses and in our personal lives. That said, we’re in this together, and there are things to do here and now that will help tomorrow be better.

We’re bringing together practitioners and advisors who have implemented improvements in commercial processes, and especially efforts related to pricing excellence: Stephan Liozu, Alex Hoff, and Mitch Lee will walk you thru 4 steps you can take for success today and tomorrow.  At a high level it boils down to: measuring and monitoring, understanding how and when to use what KPIs and when for contextual comparison, making action-biased context available in the moment, and fundamentally, taking up the responsibility for leadership from the middle office.  After all, the middle office is the place with the most comprehensive understanding of what’s holding back more profitability across the span of the back office plus the front office.

They’ll also draw on their experience to relate examples from the past that can help inform current decisions.  Yes, these are different times, but there are lessons from the past, admittedly on a smaller scale, that still provide a frame of reference for progress and success. In particular, they will review success stories that demonstrate the benefit of taking control of pricing in dynamic situations, with robust and agile enterprise-level capabilities.

Mitch is a Profit Evangelist at Vendavo with 25+ years of experience in the technical, operational, marketing, and commercial arenas of the chemical industry. Prior to Vendavo, Mitch was with BASF and Orica in product marketing and business management, driving operational optimization, pricing excellence, and margin improvement, as well as personal engagement in high value sales negotiations. Mitch also has deep experience with raw materials supplier portfolio management having negotiated large scale and long-term agreements with leading suppliers.
Alex Hoff | VP Product Management & Marketing, Vendavo
As a VP of Product Management & Marketing with Vendavo, Alex brings enterprise software solutions to market that enable B2B corporations to operationalize their commercial excellence strategies. Alex has been with Vendavo in various roles for over ten years, working with customers in industrial manufacturing, process industry, consumer product manufacturing and business services. Prior to working for Vendavo, Alex worked in various marketing and pricing roles for Fortune 500 companies in transportation, retail/consumer goods and business services.
Stephan M. Liozu, Ph.D. | Chief Value Officer, Thales Group
Stephan M. Liozu is the Founder of Value Innoruption Advisors, a consulting boutique specializing in pricing, value, and change management. Stephan holds a Ph.D. in Management from Case Western Reserve University where he researched the topic of transformational change and leadership in pricing.
